I LOVE this amazing Life magazine cover by W.T. Benda from November 30, 1022. When I first saw this, I fell into the trap many of us do and just took for granted credit was given appropriately. It was on Pinterest with 'VOGUE' splashed across the top. This morning, I started digging some more to find out who W.T. Benda was and what other art did he/she produce.

Władysław Teodor "W.T." Benda (1873 - 1948) was a talented illustrator who designed covers for Time, Life, Collier's and other magazines, created beautiful sketches for short stories and advertising. He is also well known for his sculpted face masks and costumes used in plays and dances as well as his paintings and charcoal sketches. To learn more about W.T. Benda, check out this wonderful article by Larry Wood of Fantasy Guilde Studios.
And now, on to the work on my table!
